Changing settings so that mandrakes are set to lots allows the player to obtain many mandrakes.A riled-up Abigail will not attack a live mandrake.Gobblers can eat an unpicked Mandrake from the ground. Live Mandrakes can be eaten by Pengulls, Gobblers, and Werepigs, which will still trigger the sleep effects. When picking a planted Mandrake during Dusk or Night, the player can try to force attack it by clicking on the Mandrake with the mouse while holding the force attack key.If one is picked at dusk while the player has no weapons, it is best to let it replant itself in the morning because punching the Mandrake will cause it to run away from the player, where it might be killed and eaten by something else. Since Mandrakes are extremely fast creatures and will keep their distance from the player even if they follow them, it's recommended to only pick them during the day if this is the item the player wants. The Loot Stash has a chance to yield a dead Mandrake, thus making them renewable since the Loot Stash respawns every Winter. If eaten in Don't Starve Together (DST), Mandrakes will put all players in the nearby area to sleep. Mandrakes also can be bought in 'The Sty' Oddities Emporium for 50 Oincs, which makes them renewable. In the Hamlet DLC, Mandrakes can be found in the Deep Rainforest Biome near Mandrake Hills. Must have merged worlds using the Seaworthy or Skyworthy. They are renewable by using a Trawl Net to obtain a Pan Flute, then using a Deconstruction Staff to dismantle it. In the Shipwrecked DLC, Mandrakes can be found in the Meadow Biome. Once it becomes daytime, the mandrake will root itself back into the ground, where the player can then pick the mandrake and add it to their inventory. If the Mandrake is attacked, they will run away from the player indefinitely. Like Pigs, they will back away when the player gets too close. When picked during dusk or night, rooted Mandrakes will follow the player (through Wormholes as well), hopping around and making a lot of noise. Gobblers and Pengulls will eat Mandrakes that are still planted in the ground, putting all nearby Mobs to sleep (except the player). Pigs will also produce Manure (as they would with other Vegetable) if a Mandrake is eaten. Raw Mandrakes will not put the player to sleep. Pigs, Gobblers, and Pengulls will eat Cooked Mandrakes left on the ground, putting themselves and all nearby Mobs to sleep until the start of the next day (no matter what time it is). Eating Mandrake Soup restores 100 Health, 150 Hunger, and 5 Sanity, but does not put the player to sleep. Eating a Cooked Mandrake restores 100 Health and 150 Hunger, as well as putting the player and all nearby Mobs to sleep (for exactly one day). Raw Mandrakes heal 60 Health and 75 Hunger when eaten, and put all nearby Mobs to sleep (until the next cycle of the day from dusk until night, from night until daytime, from daytime until dusk).Ĭooking a Mandrake will also put the player to sleep (until the next cycle of the day), as well as putting all nearby Mobs to sleep. Thing is I'd like to keep it a sword more for RP purposes, and swords are the only weapon out the ones you can make spirit weapons that I would actually sometimes use.Raw or Cooked Mandrakes do not spoil. I'd like to comment on wands but I'm not familiar enough to do so. If you are a giant you might want to consider egoing a hammer to enhance Giant Full Swing since the skill only works with hammers. The damage bonus is like 30% or some such thing. You plunk it down with a normal cylinder then immediate swap weapon slots and the hydra puffs are based on the egoed tower cylinder. The reason for this is to enhance the effectiveness of Hydra. Another example is to ego a tower cylinder. So you ego a bow not for hitting power but for long range sniping ability. For example, egoing a bow greatly extends its maximum range, I think, beyond the range of any non-egoed bow. The thing is ego weapons are out performed by other weapons available in the game, in terms of damage, so if you're going to have an ego weapon you really want to look for other effects than just raw damage. Any sword that can be acquired readily will do.
